Lena “Kack” Catharine Moore, 95, of Carmel, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. She was born   July 19, 1921, to William and Mabel Burrows, in Indianapolis.

Lena graduated from Broadripple High School and went on to fill many positions. She was a homemaker, a swim coach, a gardener, a girl scout leader for many years, and a volunteer with the Westfield schools. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lena married Robert “Bill” William Moore in 1942. They were married for 44 years before his death in 1986.

Lena is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Coles; grandchildren, Terry Moore, Jamie Scott, Tarina Lunte, Sandy Goehring, and Andy Moore; and great-grandchildren, Henry Lunt and Audrey Moore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moore; children, Robert “Bob” Moore and Barbara Burnett; parents William Stanley Burrows and Mabel Lorena Burrows; and sisters, Lucy Truan, Sis Parry, and Babs Hybarger

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Eagle Creek Evangelical Friends Church, 18103 Eagletown Road. Services will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. Burial will directly follow at Eagletown Cemetery.
